Idealised and birthed in Indonesia in 2022, Sabi The Label is an ethically driven fashion brand operating from Melbourne, Australia  by founder Mon Barton. Every piece is crafted by the hands of our skilled sewers, leather makers and jewellers across multiple teams spanning from Australia to Indonesia. Working collaboratively, from the design, to the pattern, to the fabric and finishes sourcing, to production, packing and sending, many hands that we personally know and respect touch your Sabi order. Our Indonesian team works on producing our technical-heavy pieces that are not sustainable to produce in Australia. And our Naarm, Melbourne teams hone in on the meticulous detail of simply yet highly unforgiving designs, working carefully with our delicate deadstock fabrics.

Rooted in the ancient philosophy of Wabi-Sabi, our designs reflect a sentimental journey home, offering thoughtfully crafted, transeasonal essentials that honor both craftsmanship and simplicity. Here's how it works: For every order we receive, a formula is used to calculate the estimated shipping emissions. Based on those estimates, a portion of our revenue goes to carbon removal companies that have been vetted by scientists from Carbon Direct. Those companies use that money to remove however much carbon our shipments created. Any extra funds go toward the further development of carbon removal technologies.
